The main pool is built onto the hillside and made up of three smaller pools each on different levels. The pictures shows the first pool on the top level, which is also the largest of the three. Below it is s smaller pool connected to the main pool with a waterfall, and below that a separate pool and attached jacuzzi. The pools are surrounded on all side by trees, flowers, and have good views of the lagoon below.
The gardens and landscaping are extraordinary. The rental apartments are located at the top of a gradually sloping hill, which gives them tremendous views of the gardens, pools, and lagoon below.
This is the view from one of the apartment's balconies. The main pool is immediately below along with a large outdoor "sala" and the lagoon at the bottom of the hill. You can also see how lush the gardens are with plentiful trees providing natural shade over most of the grounds.
There are quite a few nice spots to lounge around the pool. On the top level there is a sala, lounge chairs, and a few areas shaded by trees. On the bottom level there is an open-air bar and jacuzzi.
The putting green is a really nice touch not just for golfers, but for anyone who happens to enjoy the view. The large green has a few areas where you can practice your bunker or chip shots as well.
The tennis courts are situated on the opposite side of the apartments from the pool and putting green. They have enjoyable views of the surrounding hillsides and are well maintained.

Layan Gardens is well named, as the gardens are what really set these holiday apartments apart. Built on the side of a slowly rising hill, the apartments sit near the top, with the pool, putting green, lagoon, and of course gardens extending below them.
The gardens are really well done, surrounding the pool with flowers, trees giving just the right amount of shade throughout the grounds. Stepping-stone trails wrap around the apartments and showcase some really beautiful spots. The grounds feel more like a park than anything else.
